Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions answered with care, because every mum deserves support, peace, and confidence after birth.
1. What areas do you service?
I am based in Pascoe Vale and offer in-home postpartum support across most areas of Melbourne. If you are unsure whether I travel to your suburb, please reach out and I will be happy to confirm availability.
2. Do you offer support outside of Melbourne?
Yes. While all hands-on postpartum rituals and in-home services are offered locally in Melbourne, mothers anywhere can access virtual support through the Nurtured Mama Collective online community.
3. When should I book postpartum support?
It is recommended to book during pregnancy to ensure availability during your postpartum period. Many mothers reserve their support during the second or third trimester, especially for packages and ongoing care.
4. Why do I need to submit an enquiry before booking?
Each family’s needs and timing are unique, so all bookings begin with an enquiry form. This helps us understand the type of support you are seeking, discuss availability, coordinate suitable timings, and ensure we can thoughtfully schedule your care alongside our existing client bookings.
5. What is included in postpartum support visits?
Support may include newborn care while you rest, emotional support, light household assistance, sibling support, nourishing meals, traditional postpartum practices, and gentle nurturing care tailored to your recovery journey.
6. Are your services suitable after a caesarean birth?
Absolutely. Postpartum rituals and support sessions are thoughtfully adapted to honour your body’s healing process after both vaginal and caesarean births.
7. Can I customise my postpartum experience?
Yes. The “Create Your Own Healing Ritual” session allows you to choose healing elements that feel most supportive for your personal postpartum recovery.
8. What is bengkung belly binding?
Bengkung belly binding is a traditional postpartum practice using soft fabric wrapping to support the abdomen, encourage warmth, and help mothers feel grounded and supported during healing.
9. Can I receive support if this is not my first baby?
Of course. Every postpartum journey deserves care and support, whether this is your first baby or your fourth. Many mothers find postpartum support especially valuable while caring for older children during recovery.
10. How do I book a session or package?
You can submit an enquiry through the website contact form or booking page. Once your enquiry is received, we will guide you through the next steps and help you choose the support that best suits your postpartum needs.
